Complete short course in beekeeping offered by the Essex County Beekeepers Society and overseen by EAS Certified Master Beekeeper Landi Simone. This course was originally broadcast live in February 2021, when it took place over the course of several days of instruction. The class was updated in 2026 to reflect new pest management options. Core curriculum: Day 1 – Biology, Equipment, Getting Started, Keeping Bees in Populated Areas, Pests and Diseases Day 2 – Bee Plants, Seasonal Management, Honey Harvest, Queens Day 3 – Field Day Additional supplemental material includes bear fencing instructions, alcohol wash, package bee installation, and other videos and slides.
