RECORDED PRESENTATION:
Dr. Frank Rinkevich Frank has been working on the issue of amitraz resistance in varroa for several years and has some excellent insights and interesting results that all beekeepers in NJ should hear. Specifically, beekeepers need to hear his message that Apivar continues to be an effective treatment when rotated with other treatments. We have some beekeepers in NJ not using Apivar because they "heard" it was not effective and the mites are resistant. Apivar has been and continues to be a very effective treatment when rotated with Formic Pro and Oxalic Acid (dribble or vapor).
Amber Leach, Veto-pharma Sales Manager will also help with the Q&A.
Tim and Bob Kloss will give us a brief update on Malawi.
Lou Naylor will give an overview of the EAS conference that was in Ithaca, NY and talk about the 2023 conference.
